Yesterday we crossed over by ferry to Auckland and we were glad to finally got there good roads and endless space. But Nette unfortunately was not too excited about it. She jerked only to herself, so that we feared every minute on the road to lie there. After 10 minutes, my panic was so great that I stopped at a garage. The mechanic was busy and told us that all is clear. Okay, let us continues, this time it was Andres try. But he also had no luck and it was getting worse. Next Garage please!
1st Diagnosis: gone too long with an empty tank
2nd Diagnosis: alternator and battery are no longer intact, properly
3rd Diagnosis: clean oil filter, air filter and etc., because everything is blocked.
We: "Aha, Can you guarantee us that it's just that , when we make for NZ $ 250 now?"
"Yes."
"Really, Are you sure."
"Yes."
"Okay, and when we do that?"
"Not today, is equal to the closing time and the repair lasts up to 4 HOURS!"
"Aha, and is a parking nearby, because we do not know how far we still to come."
"Well somewhere already, but we don't guarantee anything if you go further now."
"Yeah, well what's nearby in the area, because we sleep in the car."
"Well there somewhere."
Andre and I then briefly held a council and decided to try to go to Auckland city and get a second opinion in another garage, cause this mechanic did not had a test drive, and they needed three attempt.
Only problem was, we had no clue how we should really come to Auckland City because that was not sign posted and a map we could not find.
So Back. Thank God that the last client of them was so friendly and offered us drive up, because he also wants to go to the city. The whole became not so easy because Nette sometimes only drives in the 2nd Gangdrove and had occasional hops and skips. I could not believe it when we got really. The man then climbed out and we told him our problem. He apologized, first, because he could not invite us to himself cause his apartment is too small and he has children and therefore would be no place for us. We assured him that the problem is no sleep in Nette, only the driving.
After that we went to eat first at a Indian restaurant. We asked the waiter if he can recommend us a garage. He has done and this morning, after a sleepless night for me and Andre, Sven has been sleeping great, we drive to the garage. I shortened all now.
It was the spark plugs and any drives. NZ$ 309 and 8 hours later, we could pick up our Nette again.
The mechanic said that she sounds really good for such an old car and now again moves.
So we are in good hopes. The first meter went well again. Now we are in Auckland in a parking lot and hopefully spend the last night in Auckland. Tomorrow's going on in the wide world. But before that first of all have a shower and visiting Mount Eden.
Sorry guys that was really long now, but we wanted to bring you up to date. Push your fingers crossed that everything goes and it does not rain tomorrow.
